Walk the Haiku Trail along the river; meet Barry, the town's most permanent resident! Close to bush tramps, golf course, thermal pools, arts and crafts, bird gardens, winery, restaurants. Handy for horse riding and harbour or ocean beaches. Katikati is a good base for Bay of Plenty and Coromandel sightseeing, or simply relax in the tranquil surroundings of Jacaranda Cottage.

This self contained, fully equipped cottage is the perfect accommodation for your Rotorua holiday. Close to tourist attractions, trout fishing streams and great for holiday relaxation. Kayak, boat or fish on the lake. The Cottage is self contained. The master bedroom contains a king size bed with TV and storage. Adjoining this room is a small bunk room with 2 single bunks, ideally suited to children. The other bedroom has a queen bed. Both double beds have electric blankets. There are also hot water bottles available. An additional sofa pull down in the lounge is also provided for when those unexpected rellies or friends drop in. Beds made prior to arrival plus a spare set of linen is provided. Newly refurbished, Nicara Cottage, has many features – 2 x TV’s, comfortable furnishings, CD player, VCR player, games, books, wood burner, night storage heater. The laundry has a front loading machine and dryer; an iron and board are in the cottage. Bathroom has a shower, hairdryer, electric point and heated towel rail. Towels are provided. The well equipped kitchen has fridge/freezer, double oven, microwave, crockpot and dishwasher. Cooking vessels, cutlery, crockery and glassware are provided. Provisions for a basic breakfast are provided for short stay guests and a “get you started” selection for longer stays.
